Keeping Healthy and Boosting Immunity

An essential part of society is still restricted, the ‘New Normal’ is just, normal. Your work has a new-found balance amidst the constant change and you’re no longer wondering what day it is. Now it is time to put your health as a priority and keep your body in its best shape to take on life’s challenges ahead and ensure that it is as healthy as it can be. Here are some simple tips and reminders that can lead to a healthier immune system.

Eat Right

Eat Right

It is often said that food is key in boosting one’s immunity. Our gut and immunity are connected, so it’s vital for you to have a clean system. When things are right in the gut, all is well with the immune system. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that eating healthy and right leads to a healthy immune system.

Here’s a list of food/beverage to boost your immunity:
1. Fish – salmon, tuna, mackerel
2. Fruits – blueberries, oranges, apples, kiwis
3. Vegetables – broccoli, spinach, bell peppers
4. Nuts & Seeds – chia, sunflower, almond
5. Liquids – green tea, kefir

Remember to try and include a “rainbow” of colors in your diet. That way, you know you’re getting key vitamins and nutrients in. We’d definitely advise you to skip processed and fast food.

Keep Moving

Keep Moving

Want to give your immune system a great boost? Physical activity is a good way to. When you exercise regularly, your body increases its production of antibodies which helps in fighting bacteria.

For starters, you can try exercising three times a week and then slowly increase the number of days once you’ve found your rhythm.

So, take a walk or go for a run – but make sure to keep a safe distance from other people. Or try out a YouTube workout that works for you and get that body moving.

Get Enough Sleep
