Lawyers, our virtual office doors are now open. The Malaysian Bar Council and Legal Profession Committee recently announced that, after many months of deliberation, Malaysian lawyers are now permitted to maintain a Virtual Office.<\/p>\n

The definition of a virtual office provided by the Bar Council is a law firm with a physical address, consisting of common office facilities and shared services operated by a Service Provider, at which the firm may meet with clients, receive service of process, and perform other services related to the administration of the firm and services offered by the firm.<\/p>\n

This ruling comes at a time when people across the world have been forced to adapt to new ways of working, whether that’s remote, hybrid, or in shared spaces.
